On behalf of the PTCOG Executive Committee and of the Local Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite you to Singapore for the 62nd Annual Conference of the Particle Therapy Cooperative Group. Singapore was recently named the most beautiful city in Asia and will surprise you with its fantastic food and amazing landscape. With 3 proton therapy centers and 6 gantries in a population of only 5.4 million, Singapore is the country with the highest number of proton therapy rooms per inhabitant worldwide. A perfect location for our PTCOG 62!
This year’s conference will start with two-day educational sessions followed by 3-days of multi-session scientific reports with several subcommittee meetings in between. The conference theme is “Synergy through collaboration“, stressing the importance of collaboration in the field of particle therapy. We expect an outstanding scientific program covering clinics, physics, and biology topics, many plenary talks and round tables for debating hot issues in particle therapy.
Owing to the exceptional growth of proton therapy centers worldwide, PTCOG reached over 4,000 members and nearly 100 facility representatives in the Steering Committee. PTCOG 61 in Madrid reached a record number of 1,600 participants on site, demonstrating the growing interest and research in particle therapy. PTCOG now has 16 active Sub-Committees that will report their activities in a dedicated session during the scientific meeting. You are welcome to join these Sub-Committees at any time. This will be the first year where the new Scholar-in-Training (SIT) Sub-Committee will be involved in the educational and scientific program planning, resulting in a higher involvement of the younger generations in the PTCOG leadership and in the meeting. We will also discuss PTCOG funding for small research projects and the future of the PTCOG Scientific journal, the International Journal of Particle Therapy, which just got the first impact factor. The Steering Committee will be called to elect new members of the Executive Committee and to decide the site of the 2027 PTCOG annual conference.

It is with great pleasure that we extend a warm invitation to you for the 4th annual PTCOG-AO meeting in Singapore, held in conjunction with the 62nd Annual PTCOG Conference.
This year’s meeting holds particular significance as it aligns with the PTCOG annual conference. Building on the success of the past three PTCOG-AO annual meetings, this conference will feature a dedicated Asia-Oceania session. Here, we will delve into discussions on prevalent cancers in the Asia-Oceania region and explore strategies for disseminating clinical evidence of particle therapy from this region.
We anticipate that this joint conference with the PTCOG 62nd annual meeting will offer a comprehensive platform for education and scientific collaboration. Through this, we aim to draw closer to achieving our organization’s crucial goal of leading excellence in particle therapy.
